Yes, you can use regular paper in your Edible Ink Printer! And we highly recommend that you do in order to get to know your printer and to run test prints; by doing so you will save yourself potential frustration and money.

Before printing on your edible icing sheets, it is best to first try out your image on plain printer paper in your edible ink printer. This will give you the ability to make changes to the size, colour or quality of your image without wasting your icing sheets.

This is especially helpful when using icing sheets with pre-cut shapes. You can take the time to make any adjustments necessary to ensure that your images are perfectly centred in each circle. Each printer is slightly different and often a small tweak may be needed to get things just right.

Regular paper will not affect your edible ink printer at all. You should always run your test prints, nozzle test and cleaning processes using regular plain paper to reduce wastage of your edible icing sheets.

We highly recommend that you take the time to get to know your edible ink printer with plain printer paper before attempting any edible icing printing. The better you get to know your edible ink printer, the better your edible image prints will be every time!
